Dear Arsenal, Wigan has shown you the way. Beating Man city is possible.

Arsenal and man city set to clash.

Dear Arsenal, as you get set for the the League Cup final come sunday, please take note that this Manchester City team is very beatable
. This was exemplified by Wigan once again last night. Yes you might say Manchester City is a 'perennial customer" to Wigan, given their recent history. But last night's fixture showed that determination can out weigh talent and class.

Arguably, this defeat is arguably the most most painful giving that city can no longer challenge for the quadruple. Sunday's final therefore will represent another opportunity for the citizens to demonstrate to the nay sayers that their impressive form does not end in the premier league.

The Gunners on the other hand, look like a team in dire need of a moral boosting victory to save their season. Already they are miles away from the top four, and the only realistic chance of qualifying for the champions league next season is to win the Europa League, another tough ask. Initially, Arsenal were installed as favourites for the trophy but with recent inclusion of heavy weights like Athletico Madrid and Borusia Dotmond, the chances of the Gunners have somewhat diminished.

For Arsenal to overcome this wounded City team, they must be patient and resilient like Wigan and of course pray for a little luck like the type that pushed Fabian Delph to make that reckless challenge which led to him being red carded. Arsenal must also strive to avoid any injury when the play the second leg of their round of 32 game of the Europa League on Thursday.  However only time will tell if the gunners can really triumph come Sunday.
